Description
1989-90 Vincent Damphousse Toronto Maple Leafs Game Worn Jersey
Lot #34
This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Vincent Damphousse during the 1989-90 NHL season. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Damphousse in the 1st round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal native made his NHL debut in 1986-87 with the Maple Leafs, where he played for five years. Vinny went on to represent the Oilers for a year before joining the Montreal Canadiens in 1992-93. During his first of 7 seasons in Montreal, Damphousse won the only Stanley Cup of his career. His last stop was with San Jose, where he played for 6 seasons. After 1378 games played over 18 NHL seasons, Damphousse had lit the lamp 432 times and added 773 assists for 1205 points. Damphousse, a 40-goal scorer, was a member of Team Canada’s 1996 World Cup squad and also played in three NHL All Star Games.

The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, an inch long un-repaired slash gash on the front hem and fine inner pilling. This fresh to the hobby example comes with impeccable provenance as it was given to our consignor directly by Mr. Damphousse back in 1990. A beautiful vintage Leafs sweater that hails from Damphousse’s breakout season as he struck for 33 goals and 61 assists for 94 points.
