This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Ryan Walter during the 1989-90 NHL season. The Washington Capitals selected Walter with the 2nd overall pick in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft. This New Westminster native made his NHL debut in 1978-79 with the Capitals where he spent four seasons and became their Team Captain in only his second year in the league. Walter next suited up for the Montreal Canadiens, wearing the Bleu, Blanc, Rouge for 9 seasons while appearing in two Stanley Cup Finals and walking away with one Championship. Ryan completed his career with a couple of seasons in Vancouver. Walter competed over the course of 15 NHL seasons, playing in 1003 games while becoming an NHL All Star and scoring a career best 38 goals during the 1981-82 season with Washington.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains and fine inner pilling. A beautiful fresh to the hobby offering, complete with the coveted letter of honor that comes directly from the personal collection of former Montreal Canadiens assistant trainer John Shipman and is accompanied by his signed LOA.
