Description
1989-90 Robert Dirk St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey – “DK
Lot #98

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Robert Dirk during the 1989-90 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Dirk in the 3rd round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. Dirk made his NHL debut with the Blues in 1987-88 and he remained in St. Louis for parts of 4 seasons before joining the Vancouver Canucks in 1990-91. Following parts of 4 years with the Canucks, Dirk completed his career with stints in Chicago, Anaheim and Montreal. This tough guy amassed 786 PIMS during his 402-game NHL career.

Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the Dan Kelly “DK” patch to commemorate the passing of the legendary broadcaster. The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes, washed out stains, an abused fight strap and inner pilling. A nice patched offering worn by this noted tough guy during a year that saw him amass 128 PIMS in 37 games played.
