1989-90 Ray Scapinello NHL Linesman Stanley Cup Finals Game Worn Jersey 1990 Stanley Cup Finals J. Mc C.
Lot #68

This black and white striped gamer by CCM was worn by Ray Scapinello during the 1989-90 NHL season and the 1990 Stanley Cup Finals. Scapinello began his NHL officiating career at 24 years of age in 1971. By the time all was said and done, Ray enjoyed the longest on-ice career of anybody in NHL history. Scapinello retired after 33 seasons, following the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals. With the record books finally closed, Ray had worked 2500 regular season games and 426 playoff games including 21 Stanley Cup Finals. Ray also worked the Canada Cup, World Cup, Challenge Cup, Rendezvous ’87 and three NHL All Star Games. Incredibly, Scapinello never missed a game during his entire 33-year NHL career. Scapinello was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in the class of 2008.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 1990 Stanley Cup Finals patch. Sewn to the right sleeve is the John McCauley patch to commemorate the passing of the beloved NHL Referee. The hem of this jersey has been custom shortened for Scapinello. The game wear is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, burns, plenty of washed out bloodstains and heavy inner pilling. A spectacular well-worn double patched example of this Hockey Hall of Famer.
