Description
1989-90 Ken Blum Lake Superior State University Game Worn Jersey – “20-year CCHA Anniversary”
Lot #402
This road blue mesh gamer by Melville Uniform Lansing Michigan was worn by Ken Blum during the 1989-90 CCHA season. The Minnesota North Stars selected Blum in the 9th round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. This Hackensack, NJ native began his playing career in 1989-90 at Lake Superior State University prior to joining the OHL in 1990-91. Blum enjoyed a minor-pro career that spanned 1990-2007 while playing in the OHL, ECHL, AHL, CoHL, WPHL, NEHL, and the UHL. This Left Wing was a contributor both in the scoring column and the PIMS column as evidenced by the numerous triple digit single season totals throughout his career.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the CCHA’s 20-year anniversary patch, a patch inherent to the 1990-91 season. Sewn into the collar are the manufacturers, size and wash tagging. The game wear on this size 46 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. We surmise that Blum's playing record is either omitting time at Lake Superior in 1990-91 or that the jersey was meant to be recycled to Blum for his sophomore season and he instead left for the OHL.
