Description
1989-90 Jacques Cloutier Chicago Blackhawks Game Worn Jersey
Lot #68

This road red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Jacques Cloutier during the 1989-90 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected Cloutier in the 3rd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. This 5’ 7” goalie made his NHL debut in 1981-82 with Buffalo where he played for 7 seasons. Following his time with the Sabres, Cloutier spent parts of two years with the Blackhawks and then finished his 12-year NHL career by spending four years with the Quebec Nordiques. Since leaving the ice, Cloutier has worked as an NHL assistant coach first spending 12 seasons with the Colorado Avalanche before spending four years with the Calgary Flames.

The sleeves on this jersey have been heavily custom shortened for Cloutier by the Hawks. The game wear on this Goalie cut sweater is on the lighter side and consists of stick and puck marks and inner pilling. Cloutier played in a career high 43 games in the 1989-90 regular season before appearing in four more in the postseason. Jacques posted 18 Wins against 15 losses and 2 ties to go along with a 3.09 GAA while wearing this sweater during road games in what was considered Cloutier’s finest NHL season.
