Description
1989-90 Glen Anderson Oilers Game Worn Jersey - Team Letter
Lot #10

This road blue air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Glenn Anderson during the 1989-90 Stanley Cup winning season. Anderson, a Vancouver BC native, was a 4th round pick by Edmonton in 1979. What a pick that turned out to be as Glenn became a key cog in the Edmonton Oilers dynasty, helping the Oilers win 5 Stanley Cups over a 7-year period spanning 1984-1990. Glenn’s final career regular season numbers read 498 goals and 1099 points. He was 4-times an NHL All Star and also represented the NHL in Rendezvous ’87 against the Russians.  In addition, he played a key role for Team Canada in two different Canada Cups as well as the 1980 Olympics. Perhaps his most impressive statistical attributes are his career playoff totals, which rank him among the all-time elite. He has scored 93 goals, 121 assists and 214 points which place him as one of the highest playoff scorers in the history of the NHL. Anderson also ratcheted up the intensity come playoff time as evidenced by his 442 playoff PIMS in 225 games played. Anderson’s career was properly recognized with his recent induction to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. Penned in the collar, as was the norm for Oilers gamers from this season, is the year 89-90 and set number 1. This gamer hails straight from the Peter Pocklington collection, which first entered our hobby back in the 1990’s. Game wear consists of lighter use with some stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. Sharp looking Hall of Fame gamer worn during the last Stanley Cup winning season during the Oilers dynasty. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
