1989-90 Bobby Carpenter Bruins Game Worn Jersey
Lot #165

This road black air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bobby Carpenter during the 1989-90 NHL season. Carpenter was the Washington Capitals 1st round pick in the 1981 NHL entry draft. He was the 3rd overall selection that season. Bobby immediately made his impact felt in the league with a couple of 30+ goal seasons, which was soon followed by a 53-goal outburst during the 1984-85 campaign. Bobby will forever be remembered as the 1st US born player to record a 50-goal season in the NHL.

Carpenter enjoyed an impressive 18-year career which included an All Star berth in 1985. He represented Team USA during the 1984 and 1987 Canada Cups. His first Stanley Cup Finals appearance came with Boston in 1990, while a Stanley Cup title finally arrived with the New Jersey Devils in 1995. All told Carpenter scored 320 goals and 728 career points in his NHL career.

This vintage gamer was worn during the Bruins Stanley Cup Finals season in 1989-90. The game use is outstanding consisting of numerous stick marks, loads of board burns and un-repaired burn holes which litter the sleeves as well as heavy inner pilling. For those who love em worn, this one will surely please.
