This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Alexander Mogilny during his rookie NHL season of 1989-90. This gifted Russian born right winger electrified fans playing alongside Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine during the 1990’s. His 1992-93 season was one for the ages. In 77 games played, Alex recorded one of the NHL’s highest ever single-season goal marks with an astounding 76 of them. After 6 impressive seasons with the Sabres, Mogilny went west, heading to Vancouver where he spent the next 5 seasons. A deadline deal in 99-00, from the Canucks to the Devils, proved to be what New Jersey needed as they plowed to a Stanley Cup Championship giving Mogilny his first Cup win. Alex was awarded the 2002-03 Lady Byng Trophy which is awarded for the combination of sportsmanship and high ability. With career totals of almost 475 goals and over 1000 points, Alex has his sights set on the Hall of Fame.
Sewn to the right breast of this rookie gamer is the Buffalo Sabres 20-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this CCM knit is solid consisting of plenty of stick marks and board burns, un-repaired burn holes and fine pilling both inside and out. An argument could be made that this is the finest Mogilny gamer in the hobby, sporting good game use, the desirable Sabres 20-year anniversary patch and having been worn during his rookie season. This Grade-A example is a perfect fit for the Hall of Fame speculator.
