Description
1988-89 Ray Sheppard Buffalo Sabres Game Worn Jersey
Lot #95

This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Ray Sheppard during the 1988-89 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected Sheppard in the 3rd round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career in 1987-88 and was runner up for the Calder Trophy as NHL rookie of the Year. Sheppard spent his first 2+ seasons with the Sabres prior to playing a partial year with the Rangers. Ray joined the Detroit Red Wings in 1991-92 where he played for parts of 5 seasons and enjoyed a career best 52 goals in 1993-94. Sheppard would go on to play for the Sharks, Panthers and Hurricanes before retiring with 357 goals to his credit.

The game wear on this size 50 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer and heavy inner pilling. The right wrist has been opened up at the seam. A nice sophomore season offering worn by this former 50-Goal scorer.
