1988-89 Pokey Reddick Jets Game Worn Jersey
Lot #64

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by goaltender Pokey Reddick during the 1988-89 NHL season. Reddick tended goal for better than 20 years spanning the early 1980’s thru the early 1990’s. His big break came in 1986 when he got his first chance in the NHL with the Winnipeg Jets. He played 48 games as a rookie posting a highly respectable 3.24 GAA. What followed was two more seasons in Winnipeg and then a move to Edmonton where in 1989-90 he served as Bill Ranford’s backup as the Oilers captured their 5th Stanley Cup title.

Sewn to the left shoulder of this jersey is the Goals For Kids patch. On the inside fight strap is a black sharpie signature in Pokey’s hand. Pokey underwent a 41 game campaign in 1988-89 and the game wear on this goalie cut sweater shows it,  consisting of both stick and puck marks, material abrasions and heavy pilling in all of the proper places.
