Description
1988-89 Perry Berezan Calgary Flames Game Worn Jersey - Stanley Cup Season
Lot #653

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Perry Berezan during the 1988-89 Stanley Cup winning season. The Calgary Flames selected Berezan in the 3rd round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. After playing two seasons of college hockey for the Fighting Sioux at the University of North Dakota, Berezan began his NHL career with the Flames in 1985. During his fifth season in Calgary, Perry was dealt to the Minnesota North Stars where he played for the next 3 years. Berezan next became an original member of the San Jose Sharks, playing in the Shark Tank for the final two years of his 9-year NHL career.

The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and inner pilling. A faded autograph in Berezan’s own hand can be found on the right breast. A nice example from the Flames first and only Stanley Cup winning season.
