Description
1988-89 Moe Lemay Boston Bruins Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match
Lot #71

This road black air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Moe Lemay during the 1988-89 NHL season. The Vancouver Canucks selected Lemay in the 5th round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. This Saskatoon native and Ottawa 67’s phenom made his NHL debut in 1981-82 with the Canucks where he played for 6 seasons before wrapping up his 8-year NHL career with stints in Edmonton, Boston and Winnipeg. Lemay was part of the Oilers Stanley Cup winning squad in 1986-87 and then went to the Finals again with Boston in 1987-88. Following the 1988-89 campaign, Lemay went to Europe where he played for 11 more seasons before retiring in 2000.

The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, material pulls, fine inner pilling and several team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Lemay wearing this exact jersey during the 1988-89 season. A nice vintage photo matched offering of this for Stanley Cup Champion.
