This road red knit gamer by CCM and Eastside was worn by Jim Pavese during the 1988-89 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Pavese in the 3rd round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. He spent parts of 7 seasons with the Blues before playing a partial year with the New York Rangers, 2 more seasons with the Detroit Red Wings and a final brief stint with the Hartford Whalers. Pavese, who was born in New York City, was a tough nosed defenseman who stood 6’ 2” and weighed in at 205lbs. He was quick to collect PIMS and in 328 career NHL games he totaled 691 PIMS.
In 39 games played in 1988-89 for Detroit, Pavese amassed 130 PIMS and 9 points from the blueline. The sleeves of this gamer have been customized for Pavese by the team. The game wear is on the lighter side and consists of some stick marks, board burns, a handful of un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above, for your enjoyment, are video highlights of Pavese taking on Al Secord while wearing his Red Wings uniform.
