Description
1988-89 Darren Turcotte New York Rangers Game Worn Jersey Rookie - Team Letter
Lot #75
This home white mesh gamer by CCM and Cosby was worn by Darren Turcotte during the 1988-89 NHL season, his rookie year. The New York Rangers selected Turcotte in the 6th round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Turcotte, a native of Boston, MA made his NHL debut in 1988-89 with the Rangers. He would remain playing on Broadway for six seasons before joining the Whalers during the 1993-94 season. Darren would also go on to represent Winnipeg, San Jose, St. Louis and Nashville before retiring during the 1999-00 season due to a serious knee injury. Turcotte twice netted 30 goals with New York and earned himself a spot on the 1991 NHL All Star team.

The game wear on this rookie sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, general filth, stitch pops, heavy inner pilling and a couple of team-sewn repairs. A well-worn offering from this former NHL All Star’s rookie season. This jersey will be accompanied by a Rangers team letter.
