Description
1988-89 Craig Janney Boston Bruins Game Worn Jersey
Lot #47
This road black air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Craig Janney during the 1988-89 NHL season. The Boston Bruins selected Janney in the 1st round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. After spending time at Boston College and with the U.S. National Team, this Hartford, CT native began his 12-year NHL career with the Bruins in 1987-88. He would spend parts of 5 seasons in Boston where he went to 2 Stanley Cup Finals in his first 3-years in the league. Craig was dealt to the St. Louis Blues during the 1991-92 season in exchange for Adam Oates and spent parts of 4 years in St. Louis. He would finish his career with stints in San Jose, Winnipeg, Phoenix, Tampa Bay and the Islanders. In 760 games played, Janney scored 751-points. His career best season came with the Blues in 1992-93, when he assisted on 82 goals and tallied 106 points. Janney represented Team USA in the World Championships, the 1988 Olympics and the 1991 Canada Cup.

The game wear on this size 50 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a fight strap that has lost the battle to salt and rust and fine inner pilling. Janney wore this sweater during road games in his first full NHL season, a year that saw him notch 62 points in 62 regular season games and follow that up with 13 more in 10 playoff contests.
