Description
1987 Darren Veitch Detroit Red Wings Game Worn Jersey
Lot #112
This home white knit gamer by CCM and Eastside was worn by Darren Veitch circa the 1987 NHL season. The Washington Capitals made Veitch the 5th overall selection in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. After parts of 6 years with the Capitals, Veitch joined the Detroit Red Wings where he played for the next 2 plus seasons. Darren’s last NHL stop was in Toronto, where he spent parts of two seasons with the Maple Leafs. Following his NHL playing days, Veitch suited up in the minors and won the 1993-94 Governors Trophy as the IHL’s best defenseman while representing Peoria.

The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, inner pilling, a fight strap that has lost the battle to salt and rust along with a handful of vintage Red Wings team-sewn repairs.
