1987-88 Steve Duchesne Los Angeles Kings Game Worn Jersey - 2nd NHL Season - Photo Match
Lot #64

This home purple and gold knit gamer by CCM was worn by Steve Duchesne during the 1987-88 NHL season. Duchesne was an undrafted free agent who became one of the higher scoring defenseman of his generation, netting 227 goals and 752 points during a 16-year career that spanned over 1100 games. He had a dozen successive double-digit goal seasons, which included 20+ on 4 different occasions. His career best of 25 goals came in 1988-89 with the Los Angeles Kings, the team with which Steve spent the first 5 seasons of his career. His career best in points came with Quebec in 1992-93 when he registered 82 over a full slate of games. In his 16th and final season, Steve captured the Stanley Cup as a member of the Detroit Red Wings. Duchesne was a 3-time NHL All Star.

The game wear on this vintage purple and gold sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Duchesne wearing this exact jersey during the 1987-88 season. Steve wore this photo matched example during his sophomore season as he struck for 16 goals, 55 points and a career best 109 PIMS. A nice vintage offering of this 3-time NHL All Star.
