Description
1987-88 Jim Pavese St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey - “8”
Lot #132

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Jim Pavese during the 1987-88 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Pavese in the 3rd round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. This New York City native made his NHL debut with the Blues in 1981-82. Pavese spent 7 seasons in St. Louis before joining the New York Rangers for a year. He then spent 2 seasons in Detroit and finished up his career in 1988-89 with a brief stint for the Hartford Whalers. This tough guy accumulated 691 PIMS in 328 games played over the course of his 8-year NHL career.

Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the Barclay Plager “8” patch to commemorate the passing of the St. Louis Blues legend. The game wear on this sweater is on the lighter side as would be expected and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, staining and inner pilling. This was in all likelihood Pavese’s last Blues jersey.
