1987-88 Dave Allison Newmarket Saints Game Worn Jersey
Lot #260

This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Dave Allison during the 1987-88 AHL season. This enforcer made his professional debut with the AHL’s Nova Scotia Voyageurs in 1979-80. Allison spent parts of 6 seasons in the Montreal Canadiens system and earned a call-up to the NHL where he made his brief NHL debut in 1983-84. Dave went on to finish up his 10-year career between the AHL and IHL where he also played for Nova Scotia, Newmarket and Halifax in the AHL along with the IHL’s Muskegon and Indianapolis teams. Known as a terror on the ice, Allison compiled gaudy PIMS totals of his 10-year career. In 689 career games played, this tough guy earned himself a resounding 2449 PIMS!

Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the born on tag that reads “86 – 07”. The game wear on this sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fight abuse with trauma to the lettering on the nameplate and fine inner pilling. Allison played in 48 games with the Saints and totaled 166 PIMS while wearing this sweater during road contests. A nice example worn by this former tough guy and long time Head Coach.
