1987-88 Dan Quinn Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey - 40-Goal Season – Photo Match
Lot #68
This road black air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Dan Quinn during the 1987-88 NHL season. The Calgary Flames selected Quinn in the 1st round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Quinn began his NHL career with the Flames in 1983-84 and spent parts of 4 seasons with the club prior to joining the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1986-87 campaign. After parts of 4 years with the Pens, Quinn spent time in Vancouver, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Ottawa, LA, Ottawa once more along with return stops in Philly and Pittsburgh before retiring. In 14 NHL seasons, Quinn partook in 805 games and tallied 266 goals and 685 points. Dan was three times a 30-Goal man who recorded a career best of 40 in 1987-88 while wearing this sweater.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is a crudely stitched on swatch of black fabric that covers the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, a heavily salted fight strap, pulls and heavy inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Quinn wearing this exact sweater during the 1987-88 season. A terrific photo matched offering from Quinn’s 40-Goal season.
