This home white mesh gamer by Pro-Joy was worn by Ron Bernacci during the 1986 OHL season. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Bernacci in the 10th round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Bernacci played four seasons with the OHL’s Hamilton Steelhawks, encompassing the entire four-year existence of the OHL club. Bernacci is the team’s all-time leading scorer and also served as the Team Captain.
Affixed to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The game wear on this size XL sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. The durable loop style cloth fight strap features some custom stitching for Bernacci, who in addition to scoring, liked to mix things up. A nice Captain’s jersey from the short-lived existence of this franchise.
