1986 Dwight Schofield Washington Capitals Game Worn Jersey
Lot #560

This road red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Dwight Schofield during the 1985-86 NHL playoffs and/or the 1986-87 pre-season. This native of Lynn, Massachusetts spent parts of 7 years patrolling NHL bluelines, clearing creases and just flat out causing havoc. He represented the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Winnipeg Jets. In between his NHL stops, this enforcer ran roughshot over the minor leagues, amassing lofty PIM totals along the way. In 211 NHL games, Dwight racked up an impressive 631 PIMS, many of them the 5-minute major variety.

Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the born on date of 86-01. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is on the lighter side and consists of some stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains, a well salted fight strap and inner pilling. Shown above, for your enjoyment, are some video highlights of Schofield letting fly while with the Caps. A nice enforcer’s gamer worn during Dwight’s brief time in the nation’s capitol.
