1986-88 Jeff Chychrun Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey – Rookie
Lot #53

This road orange mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Jeff Chychrun during the 1986-88 NHL seasons, including his rookie year. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Chychrun in the 2nd round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. This La Salle native made his NHL debut in 1986-87 with the Flyers where he played for five seasons. Jeff went on to briefly represent the LA Kings before joining the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1991-92 season as they won their 2nd straight Stanley Cup. After just a lone game in 1992-93 with the Pens, Jeff again joined the LA Kings. His final NHL season was with the Edmonton Oilers in 1993-94. In a career that spanned just 262 games played, this enforcer compiled an impressive 742 PIMS. His single season best totals came with the Flyers in 1988-89 and 1989-90 when he racked up 245 PIMS and 248 PIMS respectively.

The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and trauma, inner pilling and a fight strap that has lost the battle to salt and rust. A nice enforcer’s jersey from the beginning of this tough guy’s NHL career.
