Description
1986-87 Rich Kosti Team Canada Game Worn Jersey
Lot #76

This red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Rick Kosti during his time with the Canadian National Team during the 1986-87 season. This Goalie played his college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth before signing on with the Calgary Flames organization. Rick played for the Moncton Golden Flames in 1985-86 and also served as Mike Vernon’s replacement with the Calgary Flames during the 1987-88 season when he backed up Doug Dadswell. Kosti spent most of his time between 1986-88 with the Canadian National Team. Rick appeared in 47 games for Team Canada over the course of those two seasons and was also named to the 1988 Olympic Team, although he didn’t appear between the pipes in Calgary.

Team Canada’s period logos are sewn to the chest and shoulders of this size 54 sweater. Typical goalie usage exists with some stick and puck marks, heavy wrinkling of the back-player numbers and some pilling present. A nice vintage Team Canada Goalie gamer of this former Minnesota-Duluth alum.
