Description
1986-87 Petr Klima Detroit Red Wings Game Worn Jersey
Lot #84
This road red knit gamer by CCM and Eastside was worn by Petr Klima during the 1986-87 NHL season. The Detroit Red Wings selected Klima in the 5th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. This Czech native made his NHL debut in 1985-86 in Detroit where he played for his first 4+ years in the NHL. A deal early on in the 1989-90 season sent Klima to the Edmonton Oilers where he went on to win a Stanley Cup later that spring. Klima spent 4 seasons in Edmonton and then went on to play for the Lightning, Kings, Penguins, and finished his 13-year NHL career with 2nd stints in Edmonton and Detroit. In 786 games played, Klima netted 313 goals, recording a career single season best of 40 with the Oilers in 1990-91.

The game wear on this vintage sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, stitch pops, pulls, exterior pilling and heavy inner pilling. On the back player number is a blue sharpie signature in Klima’s own hand. A nice example from this 40-Goal man’s sophomore season.
