Veitch made his NHL debut with Washington in 1980-81 where he played 6 seasons before joining the Detroit Red Wings during the 1985-86 campaign. Darren spent 3 years in Detroit and a couple of final seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs to put a wrap on his 10-year NHL career.
