1986-87 Dan Dorion Maine Mariners Game Worn Jersey
Lot #988

This orange mesh gamer was worn by Dan Dorion during the 1986-87 AHL season. The New Jersey Devils selected Dorion in the 12th round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. This Astoria, NY native played his college hockey at Western Michigan University. After graduating in 1986, Dorion began his NHL career with he Devils in 1985-86. Dorion spent parts of 2 seasons in New Jersey and otherwise played a handful of seasons in the minors, primarily in the AHL. He also spent a handful of years in Europe’s BHL.

The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling and some team-sewn repair work just beneath the front collar. A nice well-worn example from Dorion’s first full professional season.
