This orange mesh jersey by Eagle was worn by Lindsay Carson during practice sessions circa 1985. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Carson in the 3rd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. This winger began his NHL career with Philadelphia in 1981-82. During his 7th and final NHL season, Carson was dealt to the Hartford Whalers where, in 1988, he played his final NHL game. Carson was a scrappy winger who excelled under the guidance of head coach Mike Keenen in Philadelphia. During that era, Carson was a member of both the 1985 and 1987 Stanley Cup Finals teams that fell to the Edmonton Oilers dynasty.
Sewn into the collar is the Eagle manufacturers and size XL tagging. Affixed alongside is the original inventory tag dated 1985. The embroidered Eagle logo lies on the back right side hem. Wear includes stick marks and inner pilling while a beautiful black sharpie signature in Carson’s own hand sits atop the left breast. A nice, scarcely seen, practice jersey from the Keenen Era in Philly.
