1985-87 Rob Davies/Bob Curtis Kalamazoo Wings Game Worn Jersey
Lot #238

This road red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bob Curtis and/or Rob Davies during the 1985-86 and or 1986-87 IHL season. Curtis, a native of Seattle, played his college hockey at Northern Michigan University before making his professional debut in 1985-86 with the Kalamazoo Wings playing in three games after his college season ended. In Bob’s only full year with the Wings, 1986-87, he scored an impressive 44 goals.

Davies played his college hockey at Boston University before making his professional debut in 1982-83 with the Peoria Prancers with whom he played 11 games. Bob played the remainder of his career, four years all told, with the Kalamazoo Wings where he became a 30-goal scorer. Following his playing days, Davies coached at Boston University for a few seasons before becoming the long-time Head Coach at Curry College.

The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a stitch popped front collar, inner pilling and some nice team-sewn repair work. Removed from the upper verso and lost to history are the player nameplates.
