Description
1985-86 Wilf Paiement Quebec Nordiques Game Worn Jersey – “Rendezvous ‘87”
Lot #138

This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Wilf Paiement during the 1985-86 NHL season. The Kansas City Scouts selected Paiement with the 2nd overall pick in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft. Paiement began his NHL career with Kansas City in 1974-75. He remained with the franchise as they became the Colorado Rockies until a deal sent him to Toronto in exchange for Hall of Famer Lanny McDonald in 1979-80. Paiement spent parts of 3 years with the Leafs, parts of 5 more with the Quebec Nordiques and wrapped up his career with single seasons in Buffalo and Pittsburgh. All told this winger played in 946 games over the course of 14 NHL seasons. This 3-time NHL All Star was twice a 40-Goal scorer who netted 356 career Goals while amassing 1757 PIMS!

Sewn to the right sleeve of this gamer is the Rendezvous ’87 patch. The sleeves on this gamer have been custom shortened by the team for Paiement. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, trauma, a tattered fight strap, fine inner pilling and some major team-sewn repair work. The numbering, lettering and fleur-de-lis exhibit extensive cracking and peeling. A well-worn patched offering that show the battle scars from Paiement’s final season in Quebec.
