1985-86 Mark LaForest Adirondack Red Wings Game Worn Jersey – “50-year Anniversary – Calder Cup Championship Season
Lot #192
This road red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Mark Laforest during the 1985-86 AHL season, the Adirondack Red Wings Calder Cup winning season. This Welland, ONT native made his NHL debut in 1985-86 with the Red Wings where he played for two seasons. Mark went on to play for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators over the course of his 6-year NHL career. This Goalie also had a lengthy and successful minor-pro career that included a pair of Baz Bastien Awards, which came in 1986-87 and 1990-91 as well as leading his team to the 1985-86 Calder Cup.

Sewn to the rear hem of this gamer is the AHL’s 50-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and puck marks, un-repaired trauma, goal post paint transfer, stitch pops, collar pilling and inner pilling. LaForest wore this sweater during the Red Wings Calder Cup winning season, just the second in franchise history. LaForest was tremendous in the playoffs, playing in all 17 postseason games for Adirondack and leading his club to the Calder Cup Championship. A beautiful patched example that hails from the Red Wings second-ever Calder Cup winning season.
