This SASK native made his NHL debut in 1983-84 with Detroit where he played for three seasons. Lane went on to represent the Rangers and Nordiques before finishing his 6-year NHL career. This enforcer accumulated 349 PIMS in 176 games to start his career with Detroit. After leaving the NHL, Lambert spent three seasons on the Canadian National Team before going on to a lengthy coaching career.
