1985-86 Florent Robidoux Hershey Bears Game Worn Jersey – “31” – “50-year AHL”
Lot #989

This road maroon knit gamer by CCM was worn by Florent Robidoux during the 1985-86 AHL season. Robidoux spent 3 seasons playing for the Chicago Blackhawks in the early 1980’s. He also spent time in the AHL and IHL during his brief 6-year playing career and won a Calder Cup in 1982 with New Brunswick. The car accident that caused Robidoux to miss the entire 1982-83 season had a permanent impairment on his career. After being released by the Blackhawks, the Philadelphia Flyers signed him as a free agent in 1985 and assigned him to the Hershey Bears. Florent played one final season in the IHL with the Milwaukee Admirals before retiring in 1987.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the “31” to commemorate the passing of Pelle Lindbergh. Sewn to the rear left hip is the AHL’s 50-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes, trauma to the fight strap, washed out bloodstains, heavy inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. A wonderful anniversary patched example worn by this former NHLer that features terrific game use as well as Pelle’s “31”.
