1985-86 Darren McKay Muskegon Lumberjacks Game Worn Jersey - Turner Cup Championship Season
Lot #406
This home white mesh gamer by Pedersons was worn by Darren McKay during the 1985-86 IHL season. McKay spent 4 years with Billings in the WHL before beginning his minor pro career in 1982-83. He would spend 6 seasons in the minors where he played for the AHL’s Binghamton Whalers and the IHL’s Muskegon Lumberjacks, Indianapolis Checkers and Milwaukee Admirals. Darren wan an undersized defenseman who had a knack for mixing things up as evidenced by his PIMS totals.

The game wear on this size XL sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling and some team-sewn repair work. A custom skate lace style fight strap with the original coin remains in place beneath the back player number. A nice old school IHL sweater from a Championship season.
