Description
1985-86 Craig Wolanin New Jersey Devils Game Worn Jersey – Rookie
Lot #56

This home white mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Craig Wolanin during the 1985-86 NHL season, his rookie year. The New Jersey Devils selected Wolanin with the third overall pick in the 1st round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. This Grosse Pointe, MI native made his NHL debut in 1985-86 with the Devils where he played for five seasons before joining the Quebec Nordiques. After parts of 6 seasons with Quebec, Craig and his franchise transferred to Colorado where they won a Stanley Cup in their inaugural season. Wolanin finished up his 13-year NHL career with stops in Tampa Bay and Toronto.

The game wear on this 1st set sweater is on the lighter side and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired trauma and inner pilling. The Devils wore a number of different styled jerseys, patched together from season’s prior, during the first half of the 1985-86 season. We have in fact previously handled some of these examples. A nice rookie sweater from the third overall pick in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and former Stanley Cup Champion.
