Description
1985-86 Bernie Federko St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey - 100-Point Season - Retired Number
Lot #26

This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bernie Federko during the 1985-86 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Federko with the 7th overall pick in the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft. Bernie began his Hall of Fame career with the Blues in 1976-77 and spent his first 13 seasons in St. Louis prior to playing one final year with Detroit. In a career that spanned exactly 1000 games, Federko registered 369 goals and 1130 points. He was 4-times a 100-point man who netted a career best 41 goals and 107 points in 1983-84. Bernie was twice an NHL All Star who was deservingly inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002. The Blues retired Federko’s #24 in 1991.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. Sewn into the collar is the born on tagging that reads “85-07”. The game wear on this size 48 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and fine pilling both inside and out. Bernie tallied his last of four 100-point seasons while wearing this sweater in a year that saw the Blues push the Calgary Flames to Game 7 of the Campbell Conference Finals, falling just short of the Stanley Cup Finals. That season has always held a special place in the hearts of Blues fans as it included the Monday Night Miracle and other thrilling moments. A well-worn fresh to the block offering that sports the coveted letter of honor and was worn by Federko during the prime of his Hall of Fame career, choice!
