Description
1984 Mike Ridley University of Manitoba Bisons Game Worn Jersey
Lot #554

This brown air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Mike Ridley during the 1984 CWUAA season. Ridley, a native of Winnipeg Manitoba, jumped right to the NHL out of school and made his NHL debut in 1985-86 with the New York Rangers where he played for parts of 2 years. In 1986-87, Ridley joined the Capitals mid season, spending the next 7 years with the club he would be most well known playing for. Mike finished up his NHL career with a season in Toronto and 2 more in Vancouver. Ridley made the NHL’s All-Rookie Team in 1986 and played in the 1989 NHL All Star Game. He scored a career best total 41 Goals and 89 Points with the Capitals in 1988-89, his All Star season. In 866 career games, Ridley scored a most respectable 758 points.

The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls and inner pilling. The fight strap has seen better days and is full of salt deposits and a modicum of rust. A terrific pre-rookie sweater from this NHL All Star’s collegiate days while playing for his hometown Manitoba Bisons.
