Description
1984-85 Rob Ramage St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey
Lot #24

This home white mesh gamer by Rawlings was worn by Rob Ramage during the 1984-85 NHL season. The Colorado Rockies made Ramage the 1st overall selection in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. After spending a year in the WHA, Rob made his NHL debut with the Rockies in 1979-80. He spent 3 seasons with Colorado before moving to St. Louis where he spent the next 6 years. Ramage next joined the Flames where, in his 1st full season in Calgary, he won the Stanley Cup. Over the next 5 years Ramage played in Toronto, Minnesota, Tampa, Montreal and Philadelphia. He captured his 2nd Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993. Ramage was a 1st Team WHA All Star in 1979. He played in 4 NHL All Star games over the course of his 15-year NHL career. In 1044 games played, Ramage scored 564 points and accumulated an impressive 2224 PIMS.

In December of 2003, Ramage was driving former Blackhawks defenseman Keith Magnuson to an NHLPA Alumni meeting. Their car swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle, killing Magnuson and injuring the driver of the other vehicle. Ramage was charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving causing death. Ramage pleaded not guilty but, in October of 2007, he was found guilty on all counts. In January, 2008 Ramage was sentenced to 4 years in prison. He began his sentence in July of 2010 and was paroled in May 2011.

The game wear on this sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. Beloved by St. Louis fans and type style collectors alike, this one-year all-sewn-on style by Rawlings was worn by the Blues during the 1984-85 season. A wonderful opportunity to acquire this coveted fresh to the block offering of this 4-time NHL All Star.
