1984-85 Randy Carlyle Jets Game Worn Jersey
Lot #31

This road blue mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Randy Carlyle during the 1984-85 NHL season. Carlyle was the 2nd round selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 1976. After playing parts of 2 seasons with the Leafs, Carlyle found a home with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he would represent the Steel City for the next 6 seasons.

Randy’s last stop in the NHL was in Winnipeg, where he played for parts of 10 years before retiring following the 1992-93 campaign. Randy partook in the NHL All Star game 4 different times during his career and was once a 1st Team NHL All Star.

Carlyle enjoyed a 17-year career that saw him play in more than 1000 games and score nearly 650 points. In 1980-81, Carlyle attained his greatest individual honor, by capturing the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman. Since leaving the league as a player, Randy has taken up coaching and recently guided Anaheim to the Stanley Cup.

This beautiful sweater shows fine game use consisting of numerous stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, heavy inner pilling and some team-sewn repair work. A tremendous representation that will surely please any old-time collector.
