1984-85 Perry Turnbull Winnipeg Jets Game Worn Jersey
Lot #55

This road blue mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Perry Turnbull during the 1984-85 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Turnbull with the 2nd overall pick in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Turnbull made his NHL debut as a 20-year old in 1979-80 with St. Louis where he played for parts of five seasons before a deal sent him to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Doug Wickenheiser among others. Perry played just a partial year with Montreal before being dealt to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Lucien Deblois. Turnbull played for Winnipeg for three seasons before ending his career back with the St. Louis Blues in 1987-88. This winger put forth three consecutive 30-goal seasons during his first go around in St. Louis. He also registered a career best 209 PIMS in 1980-81 and finished his career with 1245 PIMS in 608 NHL games.

The game wear on this size 50 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a torn and fight abused front collar and inner pilling. The 1984-85 season was Perry’s first with the Jets and it saw him score 22 goals and 43 points to go along with 130 PIMS in 66 games played. A well-worn example from Turnbull’s first season in Winnipeg.
