Description
1984-85 Paul Boutilier New York Islanders Game Worn Jersey
Lot #140

This home white mesh gamer by Pedersons was worn by Paul Boutilier during the 1984-85 NHL season. The New York Islanders selected Boutilier in the 1st round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Boutilier made his NHL debut with the Isles in 1981-82 and spent 5 seasons with the club before going on to play for the Bruins, North Stars, Rangers and Jets. Boutilier played during the latter part of the Islanders dynasty and is therefore a Stanley Cup champion.

The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops and fine inner pilling. The reapplication of the player nameplate, a commonality from this set is also worthy of mention. Boutilier put forth his best season while wearing this sweater on home ice at the Nassau Coliseum. He scored 12 Goals and 35 Points to go along with 90 PIMS from the blueline. A nice vintage example from this Islanders Stanley Cup champion.
