This white air-knit jersey by Reebok was worn by Glenn Anderson during the celebration for the 1984-85 Edmonton Oilers being named the Centennial’s Greatest Team. The Edmonton Oilers selected Anderson in the 4th round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Glenn spent a year playing college hockey at the University of Denver and another season with the Canadian National Team, which included the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, before making his NHL debut in 1980-81 with the Oilers. Over the next 11 seasons, Anderson and the Oilers went to 6 Stanley Cup Finals and won five Championships. Anderson next spent three seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, helping the Leafs to within a game of the Cup Finals in 1993. At the deadline in 1994, the Leafs dealt Anderson to the New York Rangers in exchange for Mike Gartner. The deal proved fruitful for Anderson as he was reunited with many of his former Edmonton brethren and together, they helped New York to their first Stanley Cup in more than 50 years. Anderson finished up his NHL career with stays in St. Louis and back in Edmonton before retiring from the NHL following the 1995-96 season.

Anderson won 6 Stanley Cup Championships over his 16-year NHL career. He was twice a 50-Goal scorer and tallied three 100-point seasons in his career. When all was said and done Glenn had scored 498 goals and added 601 assists for 1099 points. His playoff acumen is even more impressive with 93 goals and 121 assists for 214 points to go along with 442 PIMS. He ranks fourth on the NHL’s all-time playoff scoring list behind teammates Gretzky, Messier and Kurri. Anderson was a four-time NHL All Star whose jersey #9 was retired by the Oilers, never to be worn again. Anderson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame with the class of 2008.

Sewn to the right breast of this jersey is the 1984-85 Greatest Team Centennial Stanley Cup patch. Sewn to the back collar is the Edmonton Oilers Greatest Team Centennial patch. Sewn to the left sleeve is the “Once an Oiler, Always an Oiler” patch. This size XL sweater has been beautifully autographed in silver sharpie on the back player number by Glenn Anderson. The official Oilers hologram is affixed below. Shown above is a beautiful photo with Anderson wearing this exact jersey while celebrating the 1984-85 Edmonton Oilers being named the Centennial’s Greatest Team Centennial’s. A fantastic piece of hockey history, worn and autographed by one of the key cogs in the Oilers Dynasty, choice! This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
