Description
1984-85 Doug Risebrough Calgary Flames Game Worn Jersey - Team Letter
Lot #73

This road red mesh and knit gamer by CCM was worn by Doug Risebrough during the 1984-85 NHL season. The Montreal Canadiens selected Risebrough with 7th overall selection in the 1974 NHL Amatuer Draft. Doug joined the powerful Canadiens roster for the 1974-75 season and remained with the team for 8 years. During that span he won 4 Stanley Cups as part of the late 1970’s Canadien’s dynasty. This feisty centerman joined the Calgary Flames in 1982 and played for the Flames for 5 seasons. He played an integral role in helping Calgary to their first ever Stanley Cup Finals in 1986. During Doug’s time in Calgary he served as Team Captain over the course of several seasons, a role he shared with Lanny McDonald and later also with Jim Peplinski. Risebrough ended his career with 1542 PIMS in 740 games and was a 4-time Stanley Cup winner.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this vintage mesh is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and more than a handful of team-sewn repairs. A nice vintage offering. This jersey will be accompanied by a Flames team letter.
