1984-85 Dave Ellett Winnipeg Jets Game Worn Jersey - Rookie
Lot #85
This home white mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Dave Ellett during the 1984-85 NHL season, his rookie year. Ellett was originally drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in 1982 and began his career with the club in 1984. During his 7th season with the Jets, Dave was dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs where he would spend his next 7 seasons. Dave called it a wrap on his career following short stints with the Devils, Bruins and Blues. This steady defenseman was a double-digit goal scorer for each of his 6 full seasons in Winnipeg. His career highs for goals came in 1988-89 when he lit the lamp 22 times. During his career Dave partook in 1129 games and notched 568 points. He also played a key role on the blueline for the Leafs squads that made deep playoff runs in 1992-93 and 1993-94.

Worn during an impressive rookie season as Ellett played the full slate of games, notching 11 goals and 27 helpers for 38 points and 85 PIMS. Dave had an impressive showing in his first taste of the NHL playoffs as he added another 6 points in 8 Western Division contests. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, swipes of colorful board paint transfer from the old Winnipeg boards, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. A customized skate lace fight strap resides on the inside. A nice vintage offering worn by Ellett during his rookie season.
