This home white knit gamer by Maska was worn by Jean-Marc Gaulin during the 1983 AHL season. The Quebec Nordiques selected Gaulin in the 3rd round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Gaulin, a native of Balve, Germany made his NHL debut in 1982-83. He spent parts of 4 seasons with the Nordiques, thus encompassing his entire NHL career. When Jean-Marc wasn’t skating with the Nords, he was primarily representing their AHL affiliate in Fredericton where he played for 5 seasons.
The game wear on this sweater is tremendous and consists of many stick and slash marks, loads of board burns and board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, heavy inner pilling and team-sewn repair work. As you can see from the photos, the screened on areas of this example have lost the battle to history.
