Description
1983-84 Randy Ladouceur Detroit Red Wings Game Worn Jersey
Lot #33
This home white mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Randy Ladouceur during the 1983-84 NHL season, his sophomore year. This Brockville, ONT native made his NHL debut in 1982-83 with the Detroit Red Wings where he spent the first five years of his career. During the 1986-87 campaign, Randy was dealt to the Hartford Whalers where he would play for the next 7 seasons. In the summer of 1993, the expansion Anaheim Mighty Ducks claimed Ladouceur in the NHL Expansion draft. Randy played with Anaheim for three seasons, serving as their Team Captain for his final two years before announcing his retirement in 1996. Since hanging up the skates, Randy has spent much of the past 20 years behind the NHL and AHL benches.

The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and several team-sewn repairs. This example hails from the desirable set of sweaters that shared the ice with Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman during his rookie NHL season. A nice vintage offering that is nearly 40-years removed from the ice.
