1983-84 Mark Renaud Rochester Americans Game Worn Jersey
Lot #213

This home white knit gamer by Maska was worn by Mark Renaud during the 1983-84 AHL season. The Hartford Whalers selected Renaud in the 5th round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. This Toronto native made his NHL debut in 1979-80 during the inaugural season of the Hartford Whalers. Renaud spent parts of four seasons with Hartford before playing one final year as a member of the Buffalo Sabres. Renaud completed his career with Buffalo’s AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans.

The game wear on this size 50 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, plenty of colorful board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and more than a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs. This veteran NHL defenseman played in 79 games between the regular season and playoffs for the Amerks in 1983-84, scoring 11 goals and adding 41 assists for 52 points and adding 87 PIMS in the process, while wearing this sweater on home ice. This was just the second year in club history that the Amerks wore a knit jersey, a two-year style that featured the Maska logo on the hem.
