Description
1983-84 Dave Cameron New Jersey Devils Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match
Lot #87

This home white mesh gamer by CCM and Cosby was worn by Dave Cameron during the 1983-84 NHL season. Cameron made his NHL debut with the Colorado Rockies in 1981-82. He relocated with the club to New Jersey the following season and became an original member of the New Jersey Devils where he played for the final two seasons of his brief NHL career. Cameron was known as a tough customer and wasn’t afraid to drop the gloves as evidenced by his 238 PIMS in 168 NHL games played. Following his playing days, Cameron took up the profession of coaching where he has spent the past couple of decades behind the benches. Dave recently spent a couple of seasons as the Ottawa Senators Head Coach after working with them as an assistant for several years.

The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Cameron wearing this exact jersey during the 1983-84 season. These 2nd year Devils sweaters had their names stripped following the season and then reapplied by the trainer. A beautiful 2nd year franchise gamer hailing from Dave’s final NHL season.
