Description
1983-84 Bill Barber Philadelphia Flyers Practice Worn Jersey
Lot #49
This orange mesh practice jersey by Eagle was worn by Bill Barber during the 1983-84 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Barber in the 1st round of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft. Barber made his NHL debut in 1972-73 with the Flyers where he played his entire 12-year NHL career. Considered one of the finest LW’s of his generation, Barber teamed with Bobby Clarke and Reggie Leach to form the ‘LCB’ line, one of the deadliest trios in the sport. Philadelphia would play in four Stanley Cup Finals during Barber’s tenure, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 75. Barber scored a career best 50 Goals and 112 Points in 1975-76 and was 9-times a 30+ Goal scorer. Bill played in 6 NHL All Star Games and was a 3-time 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star. The Flyers retired Barber’s #7 to the rafters and Bill was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame with the class of 1990.

This size XL practice jersey shows nice use that includes stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. Barber has added a beautiful bold black sharpie signature on the left breast of this jersey. A nice offering from a tough to find Hall of Fame player.
